Brazil is an established tourist destination, but is very much still a country that is growing. Whilst the economy isn’t the strongest in the world, it’s more than on the road to recovery and is getting better with each passing year. The country itself offers some of the greatest delights the world has, both manmade and natural, and the Brazilian culture is one of freedom, at times even hedonistic. The cost of living in the country is much lower than that of Western Europe and the US, and properties can be picked up for bargain prices a fair amount of the time. Costs in Brasilia are comparatively high, but not as high as those in Rio and Sao Paolo, where property is fast becoming the biggest business (bar tourism) in the region. Whilst most of the bargains are long gone in regions like Rio, there are still some available for those who look hard enough and there are more than enough reasonably priced properties for those who don’t have the patience to search. Elsewhere in the country there are a lot more attractive propositions, price-wise at least, and bargains are there to be snapped up. Unfortunately, the world has woken up to the ease of obtaining property in Brazil and cheaper prices are becoming fewer and further between – nevertheless, there are many well-priced properties and plots of land out there to be snapped up, and the intrepid bargain hunter will be sure to find something to their taste, so long as they aren’t fussy about it being in exactly the right location. Stability has been brought about by Brazil’s most recent government, and inflation is at an all-time low. The economy is bringing itself back up on its feet and the people of the country are seeing the benefits of foreign investment – this has lead to the government putting an impetus on foreigners buying land and property in the country and has some experts putting Brazil as a future property hotspot. Potential off plan investors who want to go a bit further afield should definitely look at this beautiful country with its friendly people, rich culture and wonderful foods.
